The Medical Id Bracelet Tags are for people with medical conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy,
allergies or people dependant on a specific medication. It displays the internationally recognised, medical emergency symbol
and is engraved with your personalised medical information and contact telephone number of a close relative.
The medical emergency symbol is a blue, six pointed star, called the Star of Life. It has the Rod of Asclepius in the centre,
the image of a snake entwined around a staff. The significance of the snake has various theories and dates back. The six
points of the star represent the 6 most important tasks that medical rescue workers must carry out in an emergency situation.
Many ambulance services mark the symbol on their vehicles and the crew often wear the symbol on their uniforms. When taking
your pulse the ambulance care provider should immediately recognise the symbol on your wrist and understand what it represents.
The Info Id Bracelet Tags display the international logo for Information and are for general
use. Medical information should not be placed here. These state, the name and telephone number of a close relative, or the
information of your choice. These are for anybody wishing to carry emergency Id but are particularly good for children,
teenagers or elderly people who suffer from memory lapses. They are also useful for adults who enjoy high risk sports or
travel often.
Here are some suggestions as to what you should write on your Medical Id tag:
- Your name is a good idea although not imperative.
- Medical condition/s.
- Allergies.
- With regard to placing medication names on the tag, please ensure you state
whether you are allergic to the medication or taking the medication.
- One or two contact telephone numbers of a close relative or friend.
Full sentences are not necessary if the information is clear and understandable, using the least number of letters as possible.
Remember there is a limited space to write and the less you write, the bigger the letter size will be.

Yes, the same tag can be used for various bracelets. When you choose your bracelet you will be asked if you require it with
or without a tag. This allows you the option of buying just one tag and several bracelets to interchange it with depending
on your day or mood.
You must measure your wrist size in centimetres with a tape measure or a piece of string that you can then measure against
a ruler. This is the length you should put in the box ´wrist size.` This measurement should be taken from the smallest part
of your wrist and must not be too tight nor too loose as it is vital to your bracelet fitting correctly. Keeps Me Safe will
then add on extra length to that measurement to ensure that the bracelet sits correctly on the wrist. An inaccurate measurement
reading will result in your bracelet being uncomfortable.
For size adjustments to your bracelet you should send the bracelet back to us in its entirety within a padded envelope to
prevent postal damage. This should be done within 30 days of the purchase date. You should also make a bank transfer for
the amount of 15€ this will cover the return postage from us to you and the necessary adjustments. The details of which
will be sent via email on receiving your request. Please add a note stating the new size you require and a copy of your
original receipt. The return address is:

If you return your bracelet to us for repair please put all bracelet pieces in a padded envelope and send to us, a copy of
your receipt or invoice would also be helpful. If not, your full name, address, date of purchase (so that we can check our
files quickly) and telephone number or email address. Please enclose a note stating your wrist size as we may need to remake
the bracelet from scratch. The date of purchase is important because there will be no charge for the bracelet´s repair within
3 months of purchase. After 3 months a 15€ charge will apply, this includes the repair and cost of return postage from us
to you. This should be done by bank transfer. The details of which will be sent to you via email on receiving your request.
Only bracelets damaged from normal use, will be repaired, bracelets damaged under other circumstances will not.
Exchanges are not accepted. This is because each bracelet is personalised for each person and so the materials used to make
your bracelet cannot be re-used or sold.
Refunds must be made with your receipt within 30 days of purchase. The bracelet should be posted back to us in a padded envelope
to prevent postal damage and should be in the same condition to which you received it. We will then contact you with your
refund details and reimburse you by bank transfer, the quantity of your original purchase (Keeps me Safe is not responsible
for any further postage costs). and respond as quickly as possible. It would also be helpful for us to know the reasons
for your refund request. Customer feedback is very important to us.
The smallest sized wrist we cater for is 12.5cm. This is mainly because our bracelets are not suitable for very young children
due to the small pieces used and choking hazards. The Id tag would also be too big for the wrist and the bracelet would
not fit correctly. We are exploring ways to overcome this problem as we are well aware that such bracelets are equally as
important for younger children as they are for older children. Please keep checking the site for further developments on
toddler friendly solutions.
The tags are made entirely of stainless steel, this means that they are sturdy, very resistant and are considerably less likely to provoke an allergic or epidermal reaction from skin contact.
